Gavin Schmidt: climatologist and climate modeler at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies, specializing in ocean circulation & climate variablity. He received his doctorate from the University College of London and was a National Oceanic and Atmosphere Administration Fellow in Climate and Global Change Research. Dr. Schmidt has been listed by Scientific American as one of the fifty top research leaders. He is well known for his debates with opponents in the scientific community who deny the dangers of global warming.
