KATHLEEN SLATTERY-MOSCHKAU: mom, wife and former legal drug pusher turned filmmaker. She wrote, directed, and co-produced the independent feature film Side Effects (starring Katherine Heigl) as well as the documentary Money Talks:Profits Before Patient Safety. After college, Kathleen spent a decade working for the pharmaceutical industry as a drug sales representative. During this time, she documented both amusing and frightening incidents about the marketing tactics of Big Pharma. Her film, Money Talks: Profits Before Patient Safety was deemed by the American Library Association as one of the most important films of 2008.
Kathleen also hosts a weekly radio show, The Kathleen Show focusing on issues surrounding life, health, and entertainment. Kathleen is currently writing two other screenplays and was selected by The MGH Institute of Health Professions, Inc. to produce a Continuing Medical Education documentary that will be used by medical professionals throughout the United States. That film, PeRx: Prescribing Evidenced Based Therapies, has recently been released. She is now working on her latest venture, Sugar Daddy, an upcoming documentary about obesity and Type 2 diabetes.
